The following is a list of Government, Govt. sponsored Self-financing and Private self-financing EngineeringColleges in kerala. Most of these colleges participate in Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical Entrance Test.

AMIE was established in 1920 in Kolkata, West Bengal and is acclaimed to have pioneered education in Engineering. IEI conducts an examination for its Associate Membership . This examination is considered as B.E. / B.Tech when contemplated as o write competitive examinations like the Indian Civil Service, Indian Engineering Services, GATE, etc., and for employment in Government, public and private sectors in India. This qualification is recognised by Ministry of HRD, Government of India as equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech.
There are 2 sections, namely Section A and Section B, who passed both of section he will be chartered engineer, chartered engineer is considered as bachelor’s degree in all National and International bodies.
As per AICTE, AMIE is recognized as equivalent to bachelor’s degree in appropriate branch of engineering, to those who had enrolled themselves with the institution on or before 31 May 2013. Refer notification from AICTE website.

NIRF Engineering Colleges Ranking List 2021: The Indian Institute of Technology Madrasemerged as the countrys top engineering institute in the sixth edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework announced today by the Education Ministry. IIT-Madras has also remained the top institute in the overall category for the third consecutive year.
The IITs dominated the engineering category by occupying eight out of the top 10 spots. The eighth and ninth positions in the category were registered by NIT Tiruchirappalli and NIT Surathkal, respectively.

Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering is the most valuable major, according to ranking a ranking of 162 college majors released Monday by personal-finance site Bankrate.com.
Students majoring in the field learn how to design ships and their inner workings, but the study said theyll also learn not to worry about finding a good job.
People with naval architecture and marine engineering major earned an $90,000 median annual income and had a 1.6% unemployment rate. Twenty-nine percent had higher degrees, Bankrate said after reviewing 2017 U.S. Census Bureau data.
On average, the median annual income for all majors was $55,000 and a 2.8% unemployment rate, with 37% holding higher degrees.

Students in other concentrations might end up earning more money, but the study determined that major charted the best course for strong salaries, low unemployment rates and little need for an advanced degree.
Another degree also means more time away from the workforce and more student debt at a time when Americans owe $1.5 trillion in student loans.
Around 19.9 million students are bound for college this fall, down from the 20.3 million students in 2009, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.
