The U.S. military has six branches of service: the ;Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Space Force. The requirements to join are similar for all six. You must be at least 17 to enlist in any branch of the active military. The oldest you can be to enlist for active duty in each branch is:

Student loans are rarely advised to young people who are still in high school. In fact, most will not qualify for these types of loans until they are enrolled in college full-time. At that point, students can also apply for federal work study programs.

When youre figuring out your 2021 goals, take time to weigh the cost. Ask yourself if its worth the investment. Being proactive means that you take into consideration all the variables before cementing your goals.

After youve compiled this list, break it in half and cut it down to three goals in each section. Three is the perfect number because it gives you leeway to pivot and bend if you need to make changes throughout the process.

From there youll receive orders for basic training, usually to start within a few weeks. If you enrolled in a delayed entry program, youll go home and get orders for basic training within a year.
