Niche, a Pennsylvania-based review website that ranks schools, colleges and neighborhoods, released its 2021 ranking of “best colleges” in the United State. It also broke down its ranking by state.
Niche calculates its ranking using measures such as the strength of the academic program, the aptitude of professors, the quality of campus amenities, the general character of student life and student reviews.
Rice was also No. 7 among the top universities nationally. It was also ranked No. 1 in Texas last year.
Two San Antonio institutions made the top 20 in Texas. Trinity University came in an No. 5 while St. Mary’s University was No. 16. Nearby Texas State in San Marcos was No. 14.
