Why Would You Want To Earn College Credit In High School
Earning college credit while youre still in high school can come with significant practical benefits. Though as well discuss below, there are often caveats regarding how and where your credits can be used, earning credits early can help reduce the overall cost of your college education, as well as the time it will take you to earn your bachelors degree.
Theoretically, college credits you earn during high school can be applied to your bachelors degree, reducing the amount of time youll need to spend as a full-time undergraduate student. None of the schools that are well known for converting Army transcripts to college credits are what they seem. Through my research, I found that they wanted you to pay an admission fee, transcript evaluation fee or a fee based on the amount of credits they awarded you. This is just a ridiculous way to get money from soldiers and it is not right.

The BLS keeps track of weekly earnings and unemployment rates compared to education levels. Year after year, the BLS has found higher education attainment has led to higher weekly wages and lower unemployment. While education takes a commitment of time and money, earning a degree at any level is more advantageous than not having a degree at all.

Some associate degree programs are tailored specifically to a career field while others have a broader base of study. An associate degree is also a perfect stepping stone for someone wanting to earn their bachelors degree further down the road.
An associate degree is usually 60 credits or around 20 courses. This degree usually takes 2 years to complete. Courses in an associate degree program are focused on general education to prepare you for a bachelors program as well as courses teaching more specific knowledge if youre studying to enter a particular field.
