Obtaining an undergraduate degree that includes completing a teacher preparation program, ultimately leading to licensure from your states board of education.

It’s Easy To Look Up Promising Careers That Don’t Require Degrees
For students who don’t have access to a career or college counselor, there are a number of helpful resources for making post-high school decisions. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics offers tools to help people understand the earning potential of different careers. One of those tools, the Occupational Outlook Handbook, sorts career options based on average pay, the level of education needed and how much the profession is expected to grow over the next 10 years.
Ryan Farrell is an economist who works on the handbook. He says when he first got into the data, he was surprised at how many opportunities there were in high-paying jobs that didn’t require a bachelor’s degree.
“People getting an associate degree can be a little bit overlooked and there are plenty of occupations where that’s the required entry level education,” he says.
Even for people with just a high school diploma, Farrell says there are a number of high-paying trade jobs where workers get on-the-job training or can acquire skills through an apprenticeship.
That’s how Isis Harris, in Portland, got her training to become an electrician, a career, she says, that helps her feel fulfilled both physically and mentally.
When Harris completes her training in December, she’ll be in a job that pays about $100,000 a year or more. The job security that comes from working in an in-demand field with wages that allow her to support herself and her 2-year-old son brings peace of mind.

To be a good teacher, you must enjoy being around other people and interacting with them, especially young people. Teaching is a social job that involves constant interaction with others.
Good teachers are also patient. If you lose your temper easily, a school setting may not be the right workplace for you. Teachers are flexible and good at quick decision making. They should be able to make adjustments when things dont go exactly as planned . Teachers must be strict to an extent and able to enforce rules, but they also need to pick their battles.
Most importantly of all, teachers care. They care about their students and student success. Without this characteristic, being a teacher will become a chore after a while. If you feel passionate about a particular content area or about learning in general and you truly care about others, you have the potential to become a great teacher.

In order to become a licensed Architect most states require you to have Education, Experience, and Examination, but what if it isnt possible to get the education portion? Maybe you have to maintain a full-time job, maybe you cant afford it, or maybe there are no accredited schools near where you need to live, whatever the reason, there are other ways to become an Architect without a degree. Before we get to that though, let me be very clear here, architecture school is extremely valuable in the things you will learn and the connections you will make, and whatever reasons you have for not being able to go should really be re-considered. I was able to complete two degrees, get licensed, work a full-time job and another part-time job and raise a family all at the same time in 6 years. So believe me, its not easy, but completely possible.
Maybe being a Building Designer isnt for you and you want to be a grade-A certified licensed Architect. Well you still can, even without a degree, but it will be a little more difficult. Get Rich Without Education Is Possible
The education system of other countries program the mind of the students to become an employee after they graduated in school. Heres the scenario. A student will spend 2 years in pre-education, 6 in elementary, 4 in secondary, 2 years in senior high school and 4 years in college. A total of 18 years in school.
Are all people who entered college get rich? No, most of them are not rich. Why? It is because, money and getting rich is not taught in school. Maybe in other countries, but most school, money, personal finance, investing and business is not a subject.

Back in high school, Isis Harris never imagined herself working as an electrician everyone around her was just so focused on college.
“College was the thing, the big thing, in high school,” remembers Harris, 44. “The friends that I had there were going to college … that’s what the big excitement was around.”
After meandering for more than a decade taking some college classes and holding lots of different jobs Harris signed up for a course designed to let her sample different jobs in the construction industry. One of the activities involved wiring a lightbulb.
“Wiring that circuit, I did it correctly and the light came on and I was like, ‘This is it!’ The light came on for me. That was the trade for me.”
Now she’s just a few months away from becoming a licensed journeyman electrician in Portland, Ore. She spends her days working on a new construction site, where her most recent task was running low voltage wire underneath a new floor to connect a thermostat. Her hourly wage adds up to about $80,000 for full-time work per year.
Get Your Masters Degree In Education/teaching
There are two main options here: a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Master of Education. Of course, the downsides are obvious – the cost of graduate school is high, youll need to prepare for the GRE and commit to a couple of years of full-time study. In short, its not an option thats viable for everyone. The bonus is that youll often have a higher starting salary. when you do finally qualify as a teacher.
