Spotify tweaked their location requirements for family plans last Sept.
Do you know if this changes the option of having college students on a Premium Family Plan?
I have daughters with Student Plans, but would like to add them to a Premium Family Plan to save money, but am concerned about them having to confirm their location throughout the year. My kids are currently at home, but that will hopefully change come the fall.
Also,; if they join the Family Plan, can they then cancel their Student Plan without penalty?

Hey folks! We appreciate all the feedback you’ve given us around giving High School students a Spotify discount. We;absolutely;want High School students to be able to enjoy a discounted Premium. That’s why we’ve launched the discounted Family Plan–6 accounts for 14.99. We don’t have plans for a standalone high school discount now that we have this great offer for families.
There also isn’t a current way to verify attendance at a high school the way we can for college/ university students. It’s for those reasons that we’re marking this as ‘Case Closed’. Of course should this change in the future we will let you all know via the News section of our website:;

If you’re eligible for a Spotify Premium for Students subscription, you can get Spotify, Hulu’s ad-supported plan, and Showtime for $4.99 per month.;

Every little bit of savings helps, and Hulu has a new offer for students that will help them watch their favorite shows without breaking the bank. This week, Hulu announced that students could get the streaming services ad-supported plan for just $1.99 per month.
The discount provides a 65 percent savings off the standard monthly cost of $5.99 per month that most subscribers pay. Hulu announced the new deal on January 11, and students can already sign up to enjoy the savings. The deal, which will be available for the foreseeable future and does not appear to be a limited-time offer, will be available to students for as long as they are enrolled in school.
This represents one of the steepest discounts that Hulu has offered for its ad-supported service. Hulu made a similar offer on Black Friday, allowing new and returning subscribers to get the ad-supported version of Hulu for $2 per month for one year.
