All eligible veterans of the United States Armed Forces and their spouses and dependents will receive the in-county, Philadelphia residency rate for tuition.
Active Military and Civilian Personnel assigned to active duty station or Department of Defense Facility in Pennsylvania
All active United States military personnel, including their spouses and dependents, who are assigned to an active duty station in Pennsylvania and reside in Pennsylvania will receive the in-county, Philadelphia residency rate for tuition. This provision remains in effect for each member, spouse or dependent while continuously enrolled at the College, even if there is a subsequent change in the permanent duty station of the member to a location outside of Pennsylvania.
All active United States civilian personnel, including their spouses and dependents, who reside in Pennsylvania or who are employed or transferred to a United States Department of Defense facility in Pennsylvania and reside in Pennsylvania will receive the in-county, Philadelphia residency rate for tuition. This provision remains in effect for each member, spouse or dependent while continuously enrolled at the College, even if there is a subsequent change in the assigned employment of the member to a location outside of Pennsylvania.

Central Community College offers admission to students without high school diplomas or GEDs. Applicants who are 16 years old or older may apply for the GED program to earn a high school diploma or apply for one of the programs. The adult education classes offer free tutoring for math, reading, and writing but do not offer financial aid.

The College of Central Florida offers special admission to students without a high school diploma or the equivalent. Students must pass the Test of Adult Basic Education along with other program requirements to graduate. There are remediation options available for students who receive unsatisfactory scores on the test.The College of Central Florida is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Colorado College does not require a high school diploma or GED to be admitted to the school.

However, some schools may sparingly admit students who hold a GED. Your application may end up at the bottom of the stack of applications of interested applicants since, fair or not, the consensus is that GED-holding students are not as educated, driven or focused as someone whos been awarded a traditional high school diploma.

In extraordinary cases the College may grant admission to applicants who have completed at least the eighth grade, and demonstrate academic skill and maturity necessary for college work. Prior to acceptance, applicants must demonstrate an ability to benefit from instruction in a collegiate setting as evidenced by the Colleges placement test, submit a portfolio for appropriate subject areas and interview with the director of Admissions. Applicants must place at college-level on the placement test and are not allowed to take developmental courses. The goal of the interview with the director of Admissions is to discuss expectations of college faculty, coursework and awareness of mature content in subject areas. Applicants must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent when attending the admissions interview.

Is It Harder To Get Into College With A Ged
In some cases, it can be more difficult to get into college with a GED than with a high school diploma. This is especially true for highly competitive four-year institutions. The process will really depend on school standards and regulations, especially by the Ivy League universities.
Many community colleges, junior colleges, and technical colleges do not require high school diplomas or GED certificates for enrollment. In fact, most will admit students as long as they are at least 18 years of age. This makes it relatively easy to earn associate degrees, which can demonstrate an ability to handle college-level classes and may lead to additional employment opportunities. Community colleges rarely offer bachelors degrees, however. Luckily, those who are having issues entering bachelors degrees can complete an associates to show that they are capable and then gain entry to a bachelors program based on their grades in the associate degree program.
Traditional, four-year institutions typically require candidates have high school diplomas but, as mentioned previously, many also accept GEDs. They may not treat the GED exactly like a high school diploma, however, as there is no grade point average associated with it. Every college and university will address this discrepancy differently, with some requesting additional application forms and materials.
