Just because Oklahoma isnt putting up 500-plus yards per game doesnt mean its offense isnt working. The 5-0 Sooners, ranked 44th in total offense and 40th in yards per play, have just been winning differently. OUs defense is much-improved and the passing attack has been efficient despite the drop-off in explosive plays. But will that recipe work against Texas?
In Year 1 under Steve Sarkisian, Texas is off to a 4-1 start. The Longhorns got blown out by Arkansas in Week 2 but have rebounded with three straight wins, scoring 160 combined points in the process. Along the way, Bijan Robinson has emerged as one of the best players in the country. Robinson has rushed for 652 yards and seven TDs, including a 216-yard effort last week vs. TCU. Keeping Robinson in check will be top priority for OU.

Toledo’s offense has been up and down, but it got a nice confidence boost last week by scoring 24 points in the second quarter of a 45-7 win at UMass.

How Bulldogs Commodores Advanced
Mississippi State: The Bulldogs advanced via the winners’ bracket in their half of the Omaha draw, but that doesnt mean the journey was easy. After outlasting Texas 2-1 in their opener, the Bulldogs needed a late rally to beat Virginia 6-5. Texas then picked up an 8-5 win forcing a decisive game on Saturday, but the Bulldogs prevailed 4-3 thanks to Tanner Leggetts walk-off hit in the ninth.
Vanderbilt: The Commodores run in Omaha has been just as dramatic. They scrambled for a 7-6 victory in 12 innings against Arizona, but a 1-0 loss to North Carolina State sent them to the losers bracket. They survived an elimination game against Stanford, scoring the winning run on a wild pitch in the ninth. Thats when things got even stranger.
COVID protocols forced N.C. State to field a depleted team for its next matchup with the Commodores, and Vandy won 3-1 to force a winner-take-all clash to reach the championship series. Unfortunately, further positive tests forced the Wolfpack out of the tournament altogether, making Saturdays game a no contest and allowing the Commodores to advance.

OMAHA, Neb. Will Bednar and Landon Sims combined on a one-hitter, Mississippi State scored early and built on its lead, and the Bulldogs won their first national championship with a 9-0 victory over Vanderbilt in the deciding third game of the College World Series finals Wednesday night.
Bednar, working on three days rest, walked three of the first five batters he faced before retiring 15 in a row. He turned the game over to the Bulldogs star closer to start the seventh, and Vandy broke up the no-hitter when Carter Young singled into center field with one out in the eighth.
It was the first one-hitter at the CWS since 2014, and it seemed as though the whole city of Starkville, Mississippi, was at TD Ameritrade Park to witness it.
When third baseman Kamren James threw to first for the final out, the Bulldogs dugout emptied and about 100 fans jumped out of the stands to celebrate as Josh Hatcher waved a national championship flag around the infield. The players then walked the warning track reaching up to high-five the fans.
Bednar , whose 15 strikeouts in his Omaha debut against Texas on June 20 were the most here in 25 years, fanned four against Vandy and was named the CWS Most Outstanding Player.

The Texas Longhorns baseball team is scheduled to take on the Virginia Cavaliers in the 2021 College World Series on Thursday, June 24.
The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. CT.
Virginia enters the game 36-26 overall, and lost to Mississippi State 6-5 in their previous College World Series game.
The winner of the Texas-Virginia game advances to play Mississippi State at 6 p.m. Friday, June 25. The loser is eliminated from the 2021 College World Series.

Ncaa Baseball Tournament College World Series: Dates Tv Channels Schedule And Odds
The college baseball season comes to a boil over the next two weeks, with the eight teams left in the NCAA Division I tournament battling it out in the College World Series.
Since 1950, the honor of hosting the final phase of the tournament has been bestowed on Omaha, Nebraska. TD Ameritrade Park will host the CWS for the 10th time this monthafter last year’s tournament was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The CWS gets underway on Saturday, June 19, with two games every day through Tuesday, June 22.
The eight teams who progressed from the Super Regionals phase have been split into two brackets, with the two winners advancing to a best-of-three championship series that begins on June 28.

Regionals are held in 16 national locations and consist of four teams at each location seeded No. 1 through No. 4 playing in a double-elimination format. The highest-ranked team in a given regional is the host.
Within each regional, there will be either six or seven games under the following format:
