Why Africa College Of Theology
Only around five percent of Rwandan pastors have received formal theological training, and regulations from the Rwandan parliament require pastors to hold at least a bachelors in theology or a similar field to lead a church. The cost of education is prohibitively high, preventing these leaders from returning to school. This means many pastors find themselves unequipped to disciple their congregations, provide counseling for church members, plant a church, or adequately study and teach the Scripture.

It also has an extension college program in which the college helps to start colleges aroundthe world. We presently have over 40 colleges in 20 different countries.

Graduation From Secondary School Or Equivalent
Traditional high school: Applicants must submit evidence of graduation from secondary school on the academic program, or successful completion of an Adult Graduation Program , or equivalent if applying from another province or U.S. state.
Home schooled: New Life Kingdom Ministries Bible College welcomes applications from graduates of home-based schools and from other unaccredited and/or non-traditional secondary education programs. Home-schooled students must provide New Life Kingdom Ministries Bible College with SAT or ACT scores. They should also provide an educational background chart to serve as a transcript.
International applicants: Applicants from countries other than Canada or the United States must show evidence of educational attainment recognized as equal to Ontario secondary school graduation, such as a General Certificate of Education or similar evidence of academic preparation.

Africa College of Theology is an internationally accredited college offering non-traditional biblical education using a flexible, blended learning format in terms scheduled in six-week segments. This format and schedule allow students to continue ministering at their churches while they complete their training. ACT is one of the only evangelical institutions in the nation offering an accredited bachelors degree in theology and leadership.
Every Africa College of Theology student pays for a small portion of his or her own education, but scholarships through Africa New Life cover the majority of tuition and other program costs. This makes ACTs programs some of the only accessible options for pastors who wish to attain the education required to continue leading and planting churches.
Today, nearly 200 pastors and ministry leaders are currently enrolled in these programs, while another 500+ high school graduates are receiving discipleship and leadership training through the school. The schools first cohort of bachelors students graduated in September 2018, and new groups of thoughtfully trained, passionate leaders are bringing the light of the gospel to all corners of Rwanda.

Classes available through the Bible Knowledge program include: Old Testament Survey, New Testament survey, The Prophets, How Should A Christian Live, Parables of Jesus, Fruits of the Spirit, Sermon on the Mount, the Life of Christ, Guidance and Gods Will and many others. The online courses include topics such as Strategies for Spiritual Harvest, Ministry of the Holy Spirit, Knowing God’s Voice, Teaching Tactics, Intercessory Prayer, Walking in the Spirit, Walking in Healing. These courses concentrate on the Word of God. This is life-changing in itself as God’s Word promises that His Word will not go forth void, especially when it is applied to our lives.

Us Department Of Education Accreditation
USDE accreditation is not necessary for the theological degrees in which we offer. Individuals seeking employment in government-licensed positions such as public school teachers, state-licensed psychologists or psychiatrists, and non-church-related counselors will more than likely need USDE accredited degrees. Generally speaking, people working in ministry positions do not need a USDE accredited degree. If you are pursuing education at LABU with the intent of obtaining employment or for some other reason, you should check with that organization BEFORE applying for enrollment in LABU. LABU assumes no liability of any kind.
Life Abundant Bible University is accredited by the National Accrediting Board for Bible Colleges and Seminaries to award associate, bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees. NABBCS is an evangelical, faith based, not a US Department of Education, accrediting agency.
Life Abundant Bible University has elected not to seek regional or US Government accreditation based on the desire to teach the whole Word of God. We will not compromise the Biblical message and therefore do not seek the approval of government recognized accreditation.
Many of our course descriptions closely match those of accredited Bible colleges and seminaries. LABU students will be well positioned to use portfolio equivalency to gain course credit and advanced standing at accredited colleges or seminaries that have a provision to grant portfolio based credit.
