The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act was signed into law on March 27, 2020.;The CARES Act provided $14 billion to students and institutions across the U.S. to assist with expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19.
Quinsigamond Community College has signed and returned the Certification and Agreement to the Department of Education.;We intend to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004 of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students, and have received a total of $2,652,173 to be used for this purpose allocation and an additional $237,992 received under Section 18004 because we are eligible under Title III).;The College added $3,346 to the Student Grant allocation from the CARES Act Institutional Relief;Funds.
Under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 , Quinsigamond received an additional ;$2,847,122 to be used to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students allocation and an additional $432,941 received under Section 18004 because we are eligible under Title III).;The College will add an additional $1,329,076 to the HEERF Student Grant appropriations from the;HEERF Institutional Relief Funds awarded under the CRRSAA.
How Will The Grant Be Distributed
Funds will be disbursed as quickly as possible in order to provide students with the support they need to continue their educational pursuits.
Ventura Colleges Plan for Distribution of VC CARES Act Emergency Grants:
- 15% of student allocated funds will be distributed to eligible students enrolled for Summer 2020.
- 81% of student allocated funds will be distributed to eligible students enrolled for Fall 2020.
- 4% of student allocated funds will be distributed to eligible students enrolled for Spring 2021.;
VC CARES Act Emergency Grant Distribution:
FOR SUMMER 2020:;;VC CARES Act Emergency Grants will be awarded to eligible students who are enrolled in at least 6 units by July 10, 2020. Eligible students who are enrolled in less than 6 units will be considered for the grant after July 10, 2020 . Eligible students will receive an email/text with information from the Financial Aid Office.
FOR FALL 2020:;;VC CARES Act Emergency Grants will be awarded to students who are enrolled in at least 12 units by September 4, 2020. Eligible students who are enrolled in 6-11.75 units will be considered for the grant after September 4, 2020 . Eligible students will receive an email/text with information from the Financial Aid Office.
When will VC CARES Act Emergency Grant funds be available?
Funds will be disbursed as quickly as possible in order to provide students with the support they need to continue their educational pursuits. Ventura College anticipates disbursing funds in the coming weeks.
How Do I Apply For Cares Act Funds If I Am A Team Or Rellis Student
TEAM Program students should apply for CARES Act funds through Texas A&M University. RELLIS Campus students should apply for CARES Act funds through their home institution for financial aid.

Summer Cares Grants Application Period Closed
It was estimated that 770 domestic students who were enrolled for the Summer 2020 semester and had not graduated or permanently withdrawn may have been eligible to participate. Based on the Summer 2020 enrollment, approximately 618 ArtCenter Title IV recipients appeared to qualify to receive a grant from the CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund.
337 students received a grant and a total of $237,600 was awarded. The grant amounts were based on the FAFSA EFC range listed below.
Fall Cares Grants Application Period Closed
It was estimated that 1,235 domestic students who were enrolled for the Fall 2020 semester and had not graduated or permanently withdrawn may have been eligible to participate. Based on the Fall 2020 enrollment, approximately 1,003 ArtCenter Title IV recipients appeared to qualify to receive a grant from the CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund.
680 students received a grant and a total of $472,100 was awarded. The grant amounts were based on the FAFSA EFC range listed below.

Can I Choose How I Get My Grant Funds
Students who are awarded grants will have the funds processed based on their selection in myBLINN. Students who have chosen direct deposit will have the funds deposited in their bank account on file; this can be edited by selecting the Student Choice Refunds icon in myBLINN. Students who have not signed up for direct deposit will have a check mailed to their current address on file.

How Much Can Students Receive
- Students may receiveup to $2,500 per;term.
- Students attending Clark for three terms or fewer are limited to $6,500 total from HEERF;funding in one academic year.
- Students attending Clark for four terms in one academic year are limited to $8,000 total in HEERF funding during one academic year.;
- Running Start students have different funding limits:;
- $1,000 per term
- $4,000 per academic year

When studentscomplete and submit the Clark College Universal Grant Application, a committee will verify the students eligibility, completeness of the application, and determine the studentsemergency need based on what is indicated on the application.;;
If you need additional funds beyond the HEERF III maximum;of $2,500,;other funding sources;through;donations made through Clark College Foundation and from community organizations or funds;may be available. How Do I Apply
The application for HEERF II funding is currently closed. Applications that have been submitted are being reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis and will be prioritized based on exceptional need until all funds have been disbursed. If you are an HSC student who is currently experiencing an emergency financial need, you may apply for the Student Emergency Fund, while funds are available. What Is The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund
When Congress passed the CARES Act, it directed $14 billion in funding to colleges$6 billion of which was allocated specifically to emergency financial aid grants for students. These grants comprise just one part of the larger HEERF program, as some of the money also helps colleges dealing with lost revenue and new technology costs.
HEERF emergency grants werent meant only for students who experienced a sudden loss in income . Instead, HEERF grants are for students who took on new expenses due to the shift to online or remote learning during the coronavirus crisis.
A student could apply for a one-time grant, for instance, if they needed to pay for child care after an on-campus program closed, food as a result of their subsidized meal plan ending or new equipment or supplies to take classes at home.
While some colleges initial rounds of funding have run out, HEERF IIthe additional money allocated by Congress in late 2020provides public and nonprofit colleges with an additional $20.5 billion in funding. For-profit colleges also received $681 million, which must be used specifically for cash grants to students. Bidens plan proposes adding $35 billion to the program for public institutions and private historically Black and minority-serving institutions, allowing for grants of up to $1,700 per student.

Additional Considerations And Requirements
- Reports for the 1st quarter and 2nd quarter should be conspicuously posted on the institutions website by July 10, 2021 .
- Reports for the 3rd quarter, July-September, should be posted on the institution’s website by October 10, 2021.
- The Student Aid reports should include detailed responses to the seven elements as described in the HEERF Student Aid Portion Public Reporting Requirement.
- Quarterly reports should appear on separate documents by quarter and should not be cumulative.
- Institutions that expended HEERF grant funds during the calendar quarter from January 1 March 30, 2021 are required to post the quarterly report that involved the expenditure of HEERF I CARES Act funds and HEERF II CRRSAA. The Department did not previously affirm this reporting requirement for HEERF II CRRSAA funds. As such, institutions may have until the end of the second calendar quarter, June 30, 2021, to post these retroactive reports if they have not already done so.

Direct Payments To Adults And Their Dependents
There are several factors that determine who receives a stimulus check. Here is a breakdown of who is eligible and how much they may receive.
You should receive the full $1,400 payment directly if you meet all the following requirements:
You will receive a partial payment if you made more than $75,000 .
If your adjusted gross income is more than $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 for married couples, you will receive a partial payment. Payments will completely phase out if you made $80,000 or more.
If you are claimed as a dependent, or could have been claimed as a dependent, you will not receive your own check.
If your parent or legal guardian claims you as a dependent on their federal tax returns, they will receive a one-time payment of $1,400 for each dependent. This includes college students who are claimed as dependents.
You are not eligible for any payment if you are in the following categories:

Spring Cares Grants Application Period Closed
It was estimated that 1,190 domestic students who were enrolled for the Spring 2020 semester and had not graduated or permanently withdrawn may have been eligible to participate. Based on the Spring 2020 enrollment, approximately 915 ArtCenter Title IV recipients appeared to qualify to receive a grant from the CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund.
504 students received a grant and a total of $350,600 was awarded. Students received grant amounts based on the FAFSA EFC range listed below.
Status Of Distribution Of Funds
Report 1: As of May 21, 2020, Wake Tech has distributed $3,312,000 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to 2,878 students under Section 18004 of the CARES Act. An additional 340 students have received and accepted a grant award and are awaiting fund distribution.
Report 2: As of July 6, 2020, Wake Tech has distributed $4,112,860 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to 3,579 students under Section 18004 of the CARES Act. An additional 74 students have received and accepted a grant award and are awaiting fund distribution.
Report 3: As of August 20, 2020, Wake Tech has distributed $4,226,020 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to 3,678 students under Section 18004 of the CARES Act. An additional eight students have received and accepted a grant award and are awaiting fund distribution.
Report 4: As of October 5, 2020, Wake Tech has distributed $4,227,170 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to 3,679 students under Section 18004 of the CARES Act. An additional 13 students have received and accepted a grant award and are awaiting fund distribution.
Report 5: As of December 31, 2021, Wake Tech has distributed $5,122,850 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to 5,454 students under Section 18004 of the CARES Act. An additional 55 students have received and accepted a grant award and are awaiting fund distribution.
Report 6: As of March 31, 2021, Wake Tech has distributed $5,195,350 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to 5,599 students under Section 18004 of the CARES Act.

Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Emergency Grants
The federal HEERF;Act includes funds for students to help with immediate needs related to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.;
Ventura College has been allocated over $33,363,706;in funding;and has certified with the U.S. Department of Education that at least;$13,535,559;will go directly to students.;;$19,828,147;was designated by the Department of Education for institutional costs associated with significant changes to the delivery of instruction due to Covid-19.;Ventura College will also contribute a portion of the institutional and minority serving awards towards direct student aid.
When enrolling at Ventura;College, we encourage all students to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or California Dream Act Application .; Students need to be enrolled in the Fall, with a minimum of 6 units, and those in need will qualify first for;$1000.;Please;monitor your school email account throughout August,;September and October;for this important information.;
Thousands of students will be eligible to receive;a grant. We have awarded more than;3,128;students so far and anticipate more than 6,000;students will receive funding.

Cares Act: Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act was passed by Congress and signed into law on March 27, 2020. One section of the CARES Act established the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund , which allocates funding to institutions to provide emergency financial aid grants to students with immediate needs related to the disruption of campus due to the COVID-19 crisis.
ArtCenter College of Design has signed and submitted to the Department the Certification and Agreement and intends to provide no less than fifty percent of the funds received under Section 18004 of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
As a result of this legislation, ArtCenter has been allocated $1,084,115 for institutional support in providing reimbursements for tuition, and other fees as well as $1,084,116 to be distributed as Emergency Financial Aid CARES Grants to eligible students.

Annual Performance Reporting Requirements
Reporting Period: The reporting period for the HEERF Annual Report will begin on January 1, 2021 and ends on December 31, 2021.
The Department will be collecting an annual report for HEERF III ARP grantees in early 2022. The Department will share more information regarding this annual report, which will also require institutions to report on their uses of any remaining HEERF I CARES Act funds and HEERF II CRRSAA funds, in advance of the ARP annual reporting deadline.
Coronavirus Aid Relief And Economic Security Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund
Feather River College has signed and returned an agreement with the U.S. Department of Education and will use at least 50% of the student portion of their Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund allocation to emergency grants directly to students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund provides funding for emergency financial aid grants to students, specifically for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19. These funds may cover expenses such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care.;Feather River College received $299,577 under the CARES Act for emergency financial aid grants to students.
Distribution of CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds
FRC has distributed;576;HEERF grants to 477;eligible students;for a grand total of $299,577.;The first wave of HEERF grants consisted of 443 eligible students, totaling;$266,100. The second wave of HEERF grants consisted of 111 eligible students living in campus housing, totaling $22,200.;These students;were eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and were enrolled at FRC on or before;March 23, 2020.
The third and final wave of HEERF grants were spent in accordance with the allowable uses of the HEERF II Funds.; Please note that this is the final report that covers all remaining HEERF fund expenditures.
